Nonna Lina carries a sentimental note within the Centofanti family, especially for Gennaro and Luciano, as it is the name of their beloved mother, Pasqualina. Together, with their late father, Nonno Salvatore, they project the history, the heart and spirit of the Centofanti Corporation.

Thirty-four years ago, the Centofanti family left Naples, Italy to come to the United States. It was their dream to discover new possibilities within a framework of American pride and prosperity.

In their initial departure, the family felt the emptiness of leaving home. Nonna operated a quaint, family restaurant with her sisters in Naples. Venturing away was a difficult decision. While Salvatore resigned from his job with some regret, he was determined to make a better future for his children: Gennaro, Bianca and Luciano. The family's dream was soon realized in the picturesque setting of Bristol, a small city outside of Philadelphia. They opened their doors to a charming restaurant where Nonna Lina created authentic, Italian specialties in the kitchen, while Gennaro and Luciano worked eagerly at the pizza counter, and Bianca began serving and attending guests. Nonno Salvatore oversaw the entire operation as he sought to make sure everything was in order; from creating new signs for the restaurant, adding more tables and re-arranging fixtures. It was his priority to welcome every customer with a kind greeting and a smile. Beyond all his hard work and dedication, Salvatore still made time to create a distinct and savory wine for the family and the famous homemade Limoncello for their costumers. The Centofanti's spent ten years in South Jersey-Philadelphia, opening eight locations throughout both areas. However, their ambitions proved unlimited in scope. They began to explore new markets, creating fresh and unique concepts from full chain Italian restaurants, to pizzeria's and grand caffes in markets throughout the country, translating the heart and passion of Italian culture and cuisine to America's backdrop of opportunity and enchantment.

"We dedicate this page to our late father, thanking him for the optimist he was and the ambition he set forward to motivate the dream we now live,"

-Gennaro and Luciano
